DAY II: Tsim Sha Tsui & Kowloon Park - Sunday, February 6 2005

- woke up, church in Sau Kei Wan w/ Uncle Tyrone
1100-1230: congee lunch, then call Aunt Yu-Ming, arrange to meet up later on in the day
1445: Take 50M bus to Sai Wan Ho; MTR to Admiralty; MTR (switchover) to Mei Foo
- sat next to some chopstick-thin honger dude on the MTR playing w/ his noisy PSP. Yeesh, hongers n their video games…
- meet up w/ Aunt & cousin Cora @ their place, then MTR further West on Kowloon-side of HK to Tsuen Wan to get me a phone
- mom wanted Aunt to help her get a cheap, second-hand tri-band phone & let me use it while I was in HK, so we get one. found it kinda funny how we had to go to 3 diff. places to fix up the phone though: I) shop to buy the handset; II) shop to buy the SIM card & airtime; III) final shop to buy a new case/faceplate since the old one was kinda scratched.




- After that, MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui to walk around, and also Kowloon Park
- Walked around Ocean Park Terminal, but weather was too foggy to get any really good shots
- Jap dinner @ “Watami”



- Walked along HK Hollywood: "Avenue of Stars"




2330: MTR back home
0000: snuck a piss in the bushes by the mountain, then took 2A bus back to Yiu Tung Estate, shower & crash

DAY III: Causeway Bay, Times Square, SOGO, etc... - Monday, February 7 2005

1148: - off to meet Andrew @ Causeway Bay MTR station
- take 50M Green van down to Sai Wan Ho station, sunny day, pass street full of garages & mechanic shops, see old ppl sitting around in shops everday in the same chair, reading paper, eating, smoking, etc…
- met Andrew, eat @ Causeway Bay, walk Times Square, SOGO (mall)
- go to World Trade Centre, eat HK McD’s (they have breakfast food ALL DAY!)




1630: MTR to Central Station to meet Tsui, walk IFC (Int’l Finance Centre), tallest building in HK

(some call it the "razor", tsui seems to call it the "organ")
1900: meet up w/ Clarence, jap food @ this new place - Itamae-sushi:


-long wait, so we go for noodles first, tell him I wanna see some HK tat2 shops (interesting to see, I definitely wouldn’t get a tat in HK though)
- walk Granville Rd, bubble tea, just good time to chill & talk about life, uncertain futures…



- finally back to sushi place, still wait a bit but finally get in
- jap places have nice bathrooms, w/ a real toilet (Chinese places lie: they have signs that say “toilet”, but when you get there all they have is a hole in the ground…and w/ no toilet paper! ah...so that’s why I always see hongers carrying around those small packets of tissue paper.) Here, they had a REAL toilet, AND paper! I was impressed



- after dinner, walk around some older club districts


1230: take 102 bus thru tunnel, back home
0230: cuz goes out to drink, but old man Raph decides to go to bed.
